Production-Assistant / Junior Producer

Radical Orange is expanding its production team and is looking for a new Production-Assistant or Junior Producer who is excited to start in a full-time role. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative international production companies in Australia.
We are looking for someone to provide support on the increase in film projects.
Who do we want?
Someone who wants to be a Production-Assistant / Junior Producer and wants to grow within the company into a producer role. Someone who has finished a film making degree or is about to finish one with ideally some real world experience in the form of internships or production company / agency experience.
Who do we not want?
Someone who actually just wants to be a director/editor/cinematographer. There are opportunities to be creative but this should definitely not be your end goal.
What will you be doing
Take care of general office duties
Manage receipts and general finance administration
Create call sheets and other production documentation
Assist in general production (location searches, talent, treatments, estimates, supplier searches, crew bookings, general research)
Assist on shoots as a PA
Update the Radical Orange Social Media Channels and Websites
Manage smaller projects
What skills and experience do we need
Recent Film Graduate or about to graduate with some real world experience beyond just a student film
Perfectionist
Excellent researcher
Quick Creative Thinker – you find solutions to problems
Great phone / email manner
Hard worker (understands this is not a 9 -5 industry) long nights are part of the job and weekend work can be part of the job if we are busy.
Understands what it means to be client facing and acts / dresses this way
Eager to travel for work nationally and internationally
Drivers License
Experience as an Intern
Understanding of Photoshop, Indesign, Numbers and Pages
Additional language proficiency in either Chinese or Japanese would be a plus
Basic Editing Skills would be great
Most importantly, someone who really wants it. You must have a passion to work in production and it has to be your number 1 priority.
